48 hours after the release of "God is a Weapon", the music video has garnered 1.5 million views on YouTube and was trending there at #2 for music, while previously in just one day it had hit a million views and at its peak was trending at #4 for all YouTube videos. The song has been trending on all the major streaming services as well. The music video has inspired many reaction videos on YouTube als (most of which are very funny and worth watching at least for the reaction when they realize Marilyn Manson is a part of it), and out of the 20 or so that I saw it was received very positively, primarily because the song is often described as an earworm that is very pleasant to listen to which slowly builds up but doesn't take too long to do so, and the video has cinematic production value, while at the same time the lyrics and symbolism are thought provoking. These are perfect ingredients for a song to be listened to repeatedly. As for Falling in Reverse and their lead singer...
Corey Feldman was interviewed by Billy Corgan on his show "The Magnificent Others" on March 26th 2025. This made for an interesting conversation, seeing that Corey Feldman absolutely loathes Marilyn Manson and will take any opportunity to spread lies about him, while Billy Corgan has been a long time friend of Marilyn Manson and continues to be friends with him, with Corgan attending Manson's last birthday party and Manson attending a recent Smashing Pumpkins concert.
You don't have to wait long till the name Marilyn Manson comes up in this interview. In fact, Corey says his name within 20 seconds, in reference to the fact that the first time he and Corgan met was through Manson at the premier for Howard Stern's movie which Manson memorialized in his autobiography, to which Corey adds "I choose to try to forget." Corgan goes on to explain why he chose to want to interview him, because he found all the previous dozen or so short interactions with him over the years to have been positive and wanted to present to the world those positive aspects about Corey. In return, Corey also says he has had nothing but positive interactions with Corgan, but the one negative thing he associated him with was his friendship with Manson.
It becomes very clear that Corey, when initially presented the opportunity to be interviewed by Corgan, at first had reservations because of his association with Manson, but somehow Corgan convinced him by stating that it would be a positive interview and no ambush of any kind would take place. Anyone who has had any interaction with Corey online knows that once anyone brings up Manson or says something positive about him and negative about Corey he immediately blocks them. But here, despite the fact that Corgan is truly avoiding to discuss Manson, Corey can't help but keep bringing up Manson and making sure Corgan won't use this interview against him. Corey will take any opportunity to throw shade at Manson.
Unfortunately Corgan made a blunder by doing this interview, but these are the consequences of interviewing someone like Corey, who would love to turn Corgan against Manson. I wouldn't be surprised to find out Corey did this interview just to get Manson's attention and show that he is friendly with one of Manson's friends.

When Corgan answers Corey about his friendship with Manson, he says: "I am not my brother's keeper." This is a reference to the story of Cain and Abel, when after Cain kills his brother Abel and tries to hide it from God who asked where his brother was, Cain replied: "I am not my brother's keeper." It indicates a sort of betrayal of his brother for whom he does not want to be held accountable for. It is doubtful that Corgan wants his reply to indicate this, but it sort of does, which is confusing, but people apply biblical references falsely all the time out of ignorance. Corey even understood the biblical reference, as bad as the reference was.
What is disappointing about the interview is how naive Corgan comes off when interviewing Corey Feldman. Corey has not only slandered Manson on numerous occasions, but has even accused Manson of grooming him and abusing him. On top of that, Corey has a very extensive history of credible abuse and assault allegations himself, as well as provable false accusations he has made against many people, and to get away from answering for these and his many other frauds and lies, he gaslights by blaming others and presenting himself as a victim. By Corgan giving Corey a platform, he only gives him a platform to spread more lies and false accusations. It makes you wonder if he would sink so low as to interview Evan Rachel Wood or Esme Bianco and avoid anything Manson related to just focus on the positive things about their career and present them as misunderstood.
Interestingly, the part of the interview that got media headlines and went viral was about ten minutes in where he talks about losing the iconic role Leonardo DiCaprio eventually played in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" due to Johnny Depp pushing him out of the role for being a junkie. Corey claims he had just become sober when Depp said this. What is interesting about this story is that Corey chose to reveal it for the first time in his long career in his interview with Corgan, who was friends with Johnny Depp through Marilyn Manson. Corey even makes a swipe at Johnny Depp that sounds like he views him as responsible for the death of River Phoenix, who died in Depp's Hollywood establishment The Viper Room. Most likely Corey's revelation about Depp is not true or at least exaggerated. Corey is very conspiratorially minded and likes to make himself a victim of anyone he doesn't like for whatever reason. As with Corgan initially, he likely associates Depp with Manson and wants to make himself a victim of Depp, since Depp has a popular reputation of being an abuser and any opportunity for Corey to make himself a victim, especially if they are associated with Manson, will gladly be taken.
Overall, this interview was a disaster for Billy Corgan, because it gave Corey Feldman, a seasoned gaslighter and false accuser, the opportunity to spew more of his lies and make new false accusations that grabbed headlines all around the world. And that is what you get when you play with poisonous snakes.

When news went viral about Corey's allegation that Johnny Depp had him removed from "What's Eating Gilbert Grape", Depp and Manson advocate Colonel Kurtz commented on a post about it on X with a reference to Corey's allegation that Manson had female spies sabotage his tour in 2017 (this was one way how Corey twisted facts against women who had accused him of assault and in turn made himself their victim), and Corey was quick to comment on her comment. He replied that he was ready to give her receipts of his allegation that Manson indeed had female spies infiltrate his tour. She replied that of course he should present the receipts. What followed was Corey sending three "receipts", which you can see below:
In summary, what Corey presents as "receipts" is a photo of Manson with the two "Angels" from his band that he claims Manson sent as spies, then he posts an excerpt from Jenna Jameson's autobiography where she says Manson was obsessed with Corey at the Howard Stern 1997 movie premier (the implication being that Manson was still obsessed with Corey in 2017, 20 years later), then he posted a photo of an old Facebook band page of Jezebel Sweet, one of the two alleged spies, which reveals her to be a satanist influenced musically by Manson. To Corey, this proves Manson sent spies to sabotage his 2017 failure of a tour. In reality, this tour failed because of Corey Feldman and his lack of talent as a musician, but as a gaslighter he tried to convince the world that it was Marilyn Manson's fault and that his band members caused the failure. The "receipts" are pathetic, of course, but I was already aware of this stuff when I wrote my article on Corey a few years ago, so if you want to read more about this, you can read it here. I actually commented in the end under Corey's last post on X with a link to my article which I mentioned goes into detail about Corey's so-called "receipts", but he blocked me within seconds and refused to engage with me.
