A Deep Dive Into the Second Court Dismissal of the Case of Ashley Walters Against Her Former Employer Marilyn Manson

On December 16th 2025, it was announced that the case of Ashley Walters (ex-assistant) brought against her former employer Marilyn Manson (Brian Warner) through her second amended complaint on March 11th 2022, has been dismissed without prejudice. This is because on September 19th 2025, Marilyn Manson and Marilyn Manson Records, Inc. filed a Motion for Summary Judgment, and this Motion was granted on December 16th. Hence the jury trial which was scheduled for the 26th of January will no longer take place.  According to court documents, the Motion for Summary Judgment was granted for three reasons: 1. “There is no triable issue of material fact.” The court is saying: Even if we look at the evidence most favorably to the plaintiff, there is nothing a jury needs to decide because the key facts are either undisputed or legally irrelevant. Meaning: The dispute is purely legal, not factual — and the law favors the defendants. 2. “Plaintiff’s claims are time barred.” The court is saying:...

Marilyn Manson Celebrates His 56th Birthday

Last year at Marilyn Manson's 55th birthday party, he announced: "2024 is gonna be our year!", and indeed 2024 marked a successful comeback for Marilyn Manson in his career with the release of a new album and a North American tour.

This year also he was able to celebrate his birthday on January 5th, surrounded by family and friends. Unlike the previous few birthday celebrations for Manson, this year his birthday also got a good amount of media attention, primarily due to some guests who showed up to celebrate him in Hollywood. Among those in attendance were The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan and James Iha, Filter’s Richard Patrick, Falling in Reverse’s Ronnie Radke, Mötley Crüe’s John 5 and Wednesday 13.

Multiple people in attendance posted photos and video footage of the party, including the moment Manson was serenaded with "Happy Birthday To You" by everyone, with his wife Lindsay by his side. After blowing out the candles on his custom-made cake, he made a speech thanking everyone and expressing his love for all those who have stood by him, and mentioned the fact that in exactly one month, February 5th, he would be celebrating his fourth year of sobriety.

"Thank you everybody for coming, I really appreciate it. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for everybody here, even the new people I haven't met yet, and everyone else who loves and supported me. I love you guys. Thank you for everything. In exactly one month, it'll be my four years sober. So I get another cake then too."

Due to the party being a sober one, it also included some mocktail specials named after three Manson songs: Coma Black, s(AINT) and Mister Superstar.

Like last year, Lindsay referred to Manson as her angel when she posted two photos of Manson earlier in the day wishing him a Happy Birthday, with the captions: "Happy Birthday my forever angel" and "I love you."

Also like last year, the image of Lucifer/Satan the fallen angel was depicted on his birthday cake. While last year it was the image of Alexandre Cabanel's "Fallen Angel" dating to 1847, this year it was the illustration of Satan finding the serpent, in whom he will hide himself, by Gustave Dore, from John Milton's Paradise Lost, Book 9, lines 182-183:

Like a black mist low creeping, he held on
His midnight search, where soonest he might finde
The Serpent: him fast sleeping soon he found
In Labyrinth of many a round self-rowld,
His head the midst, well stor'd with suttle wiles

In past interviews, Manson spoke about identifying with Lucifer/Satan who was banished from Heaven:

"I identify with the villain, Lucifer, which is the fallen angel. He's represented by light" (Spin - June 23, 2009).

"When you give up the wings that had come to define you in order to fit in and become loved by someone, then you ultimately stop being who you are and you lose everything. Ultimately, that's what I was going through in my life" (Kerrang - May 20, 2009).

Speaking of the figure of Satan, Aleister Crowley wrote (Magick, Book 4):

"This serpent, SATAN, is not the enemy of Man, but He who made Gods of our race, knowing Good and Evil; He bade 'Know Thyself!' and taught Initiation. He is 'The Devil' of the Book of Thoth, and His emblem is BAPHOMET, the Androgyne who is the hieroglyph of arcane perfection... He is therefore Life, and Love. But moreover his letter is ayin, the Eye, so that he is Light; and his Zodiacal image is Capricornus, that leaping goat whose attribute is Liberty."

The identification of Satan with the astrological sign Capricorn is interesting in light of the fact that Manson is a Capricorn whose birthday falls on January 5th.
