Just a few weeks after what was called the final performance of Black Sabbath, the godfather of heavy metal Ozzy Osbourne passed away at the age of 76 on July 22nd 2025. Ozzy revealed his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in January 2020, though at this time we don't have an exact cause of his death. His family shared the following statement: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.” He identified as a Christian in the Church of England, though it didn't really play much of a role in his life, so it is unknown what kind of funeral he will have.
