She said what she said at that time because she was going through a lot at the time and didn't want to deal with "another crisis," therefore she gave into pressure. She goes on to say how she and Manson later "reconnected," and asked to read the court files in order to come to a better understanding of the allegations and the factors at work against Manson, namely the conspiracy to target and destroy him. Though she didn't want to address this further in a comment section of a video, she also confirmed that Manson apologized to her for denying in an interview many years ago that Rose had told him about her assault by Harvey Weinstein, which hurt her very much. She also confirmed his "sobriety is good." Then she says to those reading that she does not hate him even of others do, that time has healed her of the hurt she felt by his denial, and that they "exchange kind and supportive messages."

Rose McGowan has spoken previously, in 2022, how she was pressured to write and say what she did in 2021 in support of the accusers (Dita Von Teese confirmed this as her own experience in 2022 as well), and she has always spoken very positively about her relationship with Manson, not to mention that in the summer of 2024 it was noticed she refollowed Manson on Instagram and was seen having dinner with him in a restaurant in Los Angeles. However, this is the first time she has specifically addressed the allegations and expressed her support for Manson. It is evident she has a lot more to say, and hopefully one day she will say it.
