The New Symbolism of Marilyn Manson's Stage Show Since 2024

   Since Marilyn Manson returned to the stage in the summer of 2024 with the One Assassination Under God tour, pulsating illuminated upside-down double crosses have been a consistent part of the stage design. The double cross itself is nothing new in Manson's work. It has been part of his imagery for many years and became particularly prominent again after the Heaven Upside Down era. What is new since 2024 is the way the symbol has been incorporated into the lighting of the performance. Rather than functioning simply as a static emblem, the crosses now pulsate and change as part of the stage itself, becoming one of the most noticeable elements of every concert. Marilyn Manson in the News (September 29 - November 28, 2023)

In my last news update from September 28th, we ended with Marilyn Manson settling the case brought against him by Jane Doe/Chloe Black a week before the trial, with Chloe Black playing the victim till the very end, and Manson's lawyer firing back at her calling her bluff. Though news stories have been slow since then, there is still plenty to cover, so let's see what's been going on. October 5 - Evan Rachel Wood on Navigating Narcissism On October 5, 2013, Evan Rachel Wood was interviewed on the YouTube show called Navigating Narcissism hosted by Dr. Ramani Durvasula, a licensed clinical psychologist. The premise of this show is to "help you spot red flags and heal from the narcissist in your life." It is a nearly two hour interview, and Evan pretty much spent the whole time talking about her relationship with Manson. The Vampiric Nature of the Accusations Against Marilyn Manson

When Marilyn Manson was first named and accused of domestic abuse and sexual assault on social media in February 2021, and I read through the various statements against him, my suspicions immediately arose when they started using common language and describing something similar in style to how Bram Stoker slowly but ultimately reveals in his novel Dracula that Dracula is a vampire preying on and controlling his victims. And when the court complaints against Manson were being made public months later, and you can even see it in Evan Rachel Wood's documentary Phoenix Rising , they went even further in narrowing down every aspect of their relationship to Manson as them gradually realizing he was a monster and he was someone they needed to escape from. 'Session 9', Repressed Memories and the Marilyn Manson Cases

In the summer of 1995 my mother was working the morning shift in a Honey Dew Donuts in a small section of a convenience store in Framingham, Massachusetts. It was a short term job as she was transitioning back into a career as a hair stylist, which she had stopped for about 6 years due to my family owning a few restaurants mainly while I was in High School. It was typical donut shop work, making coffee and serving donuts for customers. My mother had a frequent customer that came for his coffee almost daily. He was, as she describes him, a very nice man, pleasant to serve, a professional look. I was in college at the time, and not up on the local news, so one day my mother calls me and tells me how a frequent customer of hers that she saw almost daily and was friendly with, was on the news and had been arrested for the murder of his wife. The name of this man was Richard Rosenthal, a 40-something year old financial officer at John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance.

On October 5, 2013, Evan Rachel Wood was interviewed on the YouTube show called Navigating Narcissism hosted by Dr. Ramani Durvasula, a licensed clinical psychologist. The premise of this show is to "help you spot red flags and heal from the narcissist in your life." It is a nearly two hour interview, which I will offer my thoughts on chronologically as I listened. You can listen along as I make some relevant points:   1. First thing I want to point out is that Evan was not 18 when she began dating Manson. They met for the first time in July 2006 (her birthday is September 7th), when she was 18 and he was 37, and were just friends for many months. They did not begin dating until January 2007, when Evan was well into being 19 and it was around Manson's 38th birthday.
