On April 9, 2025, the Defendants Marilyn Manson and Marilyn Manson Records, Inc. applied for an ex parte order to continue the trial date from June 2, 2025 to January 26, 2026. This is mainly due to the fact that depositions and discovery in this case were delayed due to the criminal investigation against Manson by the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. Since the end of this investigation, depositions have begun in this case but there was not adequate time for both the depositions and discovery to meet the trial date of June 2nd, hence the extension. Discovery was supposed to expire in this case in May 2025 to meet the June 2nd trial date. On April 1st it was announced that Marilyn Manson will perform at Sturgis Buffalo Chip, the "Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling", for the first time ever on Thursday, August 7th.
“Marilyn Manson is definitely a one-of-a-kind artist who belongs at the Legendary Buffalo Chip,” according to Rod Woodruff, CEO of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “His larger-than-life rockstar persona will add an entirely new dimension to what is already the most exciting 9 day concert series on the continent. We’ll all be talking about his performance.”
