In a recent podcast interview about narcissistic abuse, Evan Rachel Wood said that Marilyn Manson described in his autobiography how the Brian Warner part of him was dead and whatever he had become was now his true self. Her purpose was to show that Manson completely abandoned his humanity and truly came to embody a disassociated narcissistic monster. But is this what his autobiography actually said or even implied? No, of course not. He says something along those lines, but she completely twists it to make a point that fits her narrative rather than the actual facts. What Manson actually describes in his autobiography is that he went through a personal apocalypse. He writes: "When I first conceived of Antichrist Superstar , I set out to create an apocalypse. But I didn’t realize it was going to be a personal one. As a child, I had been a weakling, a worm, a follower, a small shadow trying to find a place in an infinite world of light. In the end, in order to find that place...
In October 2023, it was officially announced that a three-part docuseries on Marilyn Manson was in production and due to be released in 2024. This docuseries, called Marilyn Manson Unmasked, is produced by Lightbox, co-financed by Channel 4 and FIFTH SEASON, and produced in partnership with Rolling Stone Films, with FIFTH SEASON also handling worldwide distribution rights.
Most people who wanted to see Marilyn Manson Unmasked have probably already seen it, because for some odd reason it was released this past September through streaming services in Canada, New Zealand and Finland. However, a schedule through tvzoneuk.com was just released which informs us that Marilyn Manson Unmasked will finally be shown on television in the United Kingdom on Channel 4 on Tuesday, January 14th at 10pm. Whether the entire nearly three hour docuseries will air that night or over the course of a few days or weeks is not known right now, but it seems the January 14th date is the first day. I expect that after this initial television release the docuseries will be more widely available through some streaming service(s) for wider audiences.
I've been holding off writing a review of Marilyn Manson Unmasked until we heard this news, so expect my review before the release on January 14th.

Update 1/7/25:
Multiple media publications are finally reporting on the fact that Channel 4 in the United Kingdom will be showing the three-part docuseries Marilyn Manson: Unmasked over the course of three consecutive nights, from Tuesday January 14th - Thursday January 16th. A press statement from Channel 4 has the following synopsis:
"From his
meteoric rise as the self-proclaimed 'Antichrist Superstar' to the
chilling abuse allegations that have engulfed his career, this series
dives deep into Manson’s world to separate fact from fiction."
Of course, anyone can already see the documentary online if they want to, and the less people watch it live the better.
I will also post my review for each of the three parts over the course of those three days the morning prior to each showing.
Channel 4 also released a trailer to go along with the series, which you can see below:
