Marilyn Manson Pays Tribute To David Lynch

It was announced Thursday January 17th 2025 that Film Director David Lynch died of emphysema at the age of 78, just a few days before his 79th birthday on Monday. Both Lindsay and Manson paid tribute to Lynch on Instagram, with Lindsay posting in her stories a broken heart under the poster for Wild at Heart and Manson posting the poster for Lost Highway with the message: "May you live forever inside our dreams." Manson and Lindsay have both said that Wild at Heart (1990) is their favorite Lynch film and favorite romance film, to the point where their wedding theme in 2020 was inspired by Wild at Heart , and they even invited Nicolas Cage, the star of the film, to attend, which he did via a video call. Also, a quote from the film spoken by Crispin Glover can be heard in the song "Lunchbox", when you hear: "I'm making my lunch!" Manson's first film appearance was as a snuff film pornstar along with bandmate Twiggy Ramirez in Lynch's film Lost ...

Marilyn Manson Ready To Begin Summer 2024 North American Tour

Tomorrow, August 2nd 2024, Marilyn Manson will begin his Summer 2024 North American tour, commencing in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It's sort of fitting that he would begin his long-awaited comeback in a town known for its chocolate factory, seeing how much Willy Wonka and Jeffrey Dahmer played some role in the initial concept of the persona of the band. This will be Manson's first live performance in about four years, having been restricted from performing until now due to covid restrictions and an attempt at cultural cancellation due to a barrage of baseless accusations. No song from his last critically acclaimed album, We Are Chaos, has ever been performed live, and we still have not received any news about when his next album will be released nor what that album will be called. And that's not all we don't know about the tour that is about to commence tomorrow. For example, we have no official word who will be in the band to support Marilyn Manson, nor does this tour have an official name. All we know is that over the next month and a half or so, Manson will be performing in various venues throughout North America, mostly supporting Five Finger Death Punch, though in a few cities he will be headlining when Five Finger Death Punch will be joining Metallica as a support on their tour.

Despite all the ignorance and aura of mystery, this is a triumphant return for Marilyn Manson. Just a few years ago many doubted this would ever happen, especially not during a time when he is still somewhat stifled by a few lawsuits. But Manson has something to say, and despite the setbacks he is firmly determined on saying it in the way he knows best how to do it - through his art and performance. We also have observed that there is something a little different about Manson, something more serious, sober, disciplined and focused. He is also married now and his wife Lindsay has become a key component in his artistic expression. It will be interesting to see how all these things factor in the upcoming tour and of course the upcoming album.

As a few fans who met Manson at the airport in Philadelphia yesterday informed us (pictured below), the band is now in Pennsylvania getting ready to begin their tour and first live performance in four years. To herald his return to the stage, his wife Lindsay posted a series of photos on Instagram.

As for myself, I will be reporting on all the exciting news throughout this tour and sharing what I can here and on my social media accounts. This weekend, many of our questions will be answered. Unfortunately, Manson is playing nowhere near where I live, so I am only able to make it to one show for this tour, in New Jersey on August 5th, and I will be giving my own full review of it afterwards. Till then I will be sharing what I can. I have also been informed that Colonel Kurtz will be graciously hosting a livestream on her YouTube channel from Hershey tomorrow night, interviewing fans and capturing some of the performance, so stay tuned for that.

And also stay tuned for some updates to this website in the next few weeks.

Many exciting things are on the horizon, and we are here for all of it!
