The Backlash: When Social Media Becomes the Story When Slipknot announced their 2027 (sic)est Stadium Tour , with Marilyn Manson opening the Wembley Stadium show and joining them for the South American dates, including The Town in São Paulo, the reaction was almost immediate. Some described the decision as disappointing, others said they would not spend money on a concert that included Manson, and some presented the booking as a betrayal of what they believed Slipknot represented. The Potosina National Fair, known as La FENAPO, is one of the largest and most important fairs of San Luis Potosí and one of the most important throughout Mexico. Last year this event was internationalized, and the diversification of artists and bands, with free presentations, boosted the growth of regional tourism. Governor Ricardo Gallardo is seeking to repeat this in 2024, by inviting a line up of bands at the Teatro de Pueblo. To see what the people want before he makes his proposals, over the next few weeks he will be conducting polls, the first being a choice of either Motley Crue or Marilyn Manson.
