Marilyn Manson Uncanceled

Within 24 hours of going on sale on August 2nd, it was announced on Marilyn Manson's social media pages that his concert at Alcatraz in Milan, Italy scheduled for February 11, 2025, has been sold out. This story was picked up by various Italian media sources as well. Marilyn Manson has not played in Italy since the Milano Summer Festival on June 19, 2018, and this February will mark nearly seven years since that time.    And though there is no official announcement yet, it appears the February 14th show in Brno, Czech Republic and the February 16th show in Berlin, Germany are also sold out as well.

Besides a few stage appearances with Kanye West in 2021 and 2022, Marilyn Manson had not performed in concert before a live audience since late 2019. Nearly five years later, after setbacks due to covid regulations and an attempt at cancellation due to unfounded accusations, Marilyn Manson had a triumphant return to the stage in Hershey, Pennsylvania at Hersheypark Stadium on Friday, August 2nd. For this show he opened for Five Finger Death Punch, but tonight in Silver Spring, Maryland he will be headlining for the first time with special guest Slaughter To Prevail. He was on the stage in Hershey for about 50 minutes, and went through some of his biggest hits with a lot of energy to an enthusiastic crowd. Marilyn Manson has released a new single that is now available on all musical streaming services and on YouTube (see below). With it he has released a new music video for the song, directed by Billy Ukich. With the release, Marilyn Manson says: " 'As Sick As The Secrets Within' is a personal look into my life & I’m proud to be able to share my art and vision with you. "     It has been nearly four years since he has released any new music or a music video, and they do not disappoint in the least. His new sound has some new elements, but there are influences from his previous albums as well. Personally I hear a certain resemblance in places to "Great Big White World" from Mechanical Animals , which would make sense in light of my interpretation of the meaning of the song, which you can read below.     On the day Marilyn Manson commences his Summer 2024 North American Tour, he announced that he is returning to Europe in February 2025, where it appears he will be headlining the ten shows that have so far been announced. Tickets are on sale now ( here ).  

Tomorrow, August 2nd 2024, Marilyn Manson will begin his Summer 2024 North American tour, commencing in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It's sort of fitting that he would begin his long-awaited comeback in a town known for its chocolate factory, seeing how much Willy Wonka and Jeffrey Dahmer played some role in the initial concept of the persona of the band. This will be Manson's first live performance in about four years, having been restricted from performing until now due to covid restrictions and an attempt at cultural cancellation due to a barrage of baseless accusations. No song from his last critically acclaimed album, We Are Chaos , has ever been performed live, and we still have not received any news about when his next album will be released nor what that album will be called. A little over a week ago I wrote about a significant partial dismissal granted to Marilyn Manson on July 2nd in the lawsuit issued by Bianca Allaine Kyne. First, it stated that Manson's motion to dismiss all allegations in Kyne's complaint referencing sexual abuse as a minor in 1995 when she was 16 years old was granted. Second, any reference to Kyne's own personal drawings of Manson from when she was 16 are to be removed. Third, Kyne is therefore ordered to make a Second Amended Complaint within 30 days removing all of the above. Despite this significant victory of Marilyn Manson in managing to get a partial dismissal in this case, on July 15th Bianca Allaine Kyne and her lawyer Jeff Anderson decided to issue statements spinning their loss into a victory. They argue that since Manson was not granted a full dismissal (which he was not seeking), then he lost and they won in this particular ruling.
