Marilyn Manson in the News (January 31-February 14, 2022) - 'Donda 2' stuff, 'Phoenix Rising' stuff and an Actress Gets Offended by a Marilyn Manson Joke
- Marilyn Manson Working With Kanye West ‘Every Day’ on New Album
On January 31st Rolling Stone ran an article titled "Accused Rapist Marilyn Manson Working With Kanye West ‘Every Day’ on New Album", obviously wanting to remind every reader of this article that Marilyn Manson is supposed to be canceled, which they have been working diligently to do. Besides the stupid title, the content of the article is quite interesting. Kanye West (Ye) is set to release Donda 2 on February 22nd, and apparently Marilyn Manson and Tim Skold have been in the studio working on this album daily and are reportedly going to have a major part in it. Whether they are working on their own separate material is not mentioned.
“I see Marilyn a lot in the studio,” producer Digital Nas tells Rolling Stone. “Like, every day I go to the studio, Marilyn is there working on Donda 2.“
“He doesn’t want Marilyn to play rap beats,” Nas says. “He wants Marilyn to play what he makes, and then Ye will take parts of that and sample parts of that and use parts of that, like he did [generally when making] Yeezus. … He has some producers from Yeezus working on Donda 2 this time around, [as well as] Marilyn, me, a bunch of producers from Donda 1.”
When Nas was asked why he thinks Ye has embraced Manson the way he has, he replied: "I think it’s moreso that Ye is coming from a standpoint of like, ‘We all make mistakes.’ I think that’s maybe why he had DaBaby [who was widey criticized last year for homophobic remarks] and Marilyn at that one show. I’m just assuming it is from a standpoint of like, ‘We’re all sinners. We all make mistakes. We shouldn’t point the finger at someone for the mistakes they’ve made or something like that.’”
Digital Nas says West and Warner have “a crazy dynamic.” “I would have never, ever thought that would happen, but it happened,” he says.

- Evan Rachel Wood To Play an Anti-Nazi Activist in a New Film
According to Variety on February 3rd, Evan Rachel Wood will play a lead role in an adaptation of the World War II-era book All That I Am. She will play Dora Fabian, a German-Jewish socialist and anti-Nazi activist.
Clearly Evan, with her Jewish background, is trying to save her reputation as a Jew and activist with this film and Phoenix Rising by showing that she is not a Nazi and making herself a victim of antisemitism from Marilyn Manson, despite scandalous and embarrassing photos of her on the internet showing she dressed as a transvestite Hitler for a Halloween party in 2007 and video showing she gave Nazi salutes at a Manson concert.

- Actress Anna Chlumsky Apparently Had To Change Her Name Partly Because of Marilyn Manson
On February 11th, Independent UK interviewed actress Anna Chlumsky, who was on of Marilyn Manson's favorite television shows Hannibal. There we read:
The only time she appears slightly discomfited is when I notice that it’s her married name, Anna So, which appears on her Zoom. She’s protective of her home life. Partly that’s a legacy of her childhood, and partly because the occasional odd thing still happens to her. If you search her name, one of the top results is a story about Marilyn Manson, who bought her character’s severed arm prop after she appeared in an episode of Hannibal. In 2017 the singer told an interviewer: “I ran into Bryan Fuller, the creator of the show, and he said, ‘Oh, I heard you bought all the stuff – I’m the one who created Hannibal.’ I said to him, ‘Tell Anna that I was rich enough to buy her arm and jack myself off with it.’” A weird story, even before the recent 9,500-word piece in Rolling Stone about Manson’s abusive treatment of women.
“The fact my arm was auctioned off is creepy in itself,” she says. “I was a grown-up, not a child, but I still didn’t get any say. And then, with the lewd remark about what he could use it for… if it walks like a duck, you know?”
Personally I find the story to be funny, mainly because humorless people can't find humor in a funny joke. I'll leave it at that.

Evan Rachel Wood Opens Up About Years of Abuse
Evan Rachel Wood reveals details about her horror relationship with musician Marilyn Manson in new documentary Phoenix Rising.
Evan Rachel Wood (34) was only 18 years old when she met Marilyn Manson (53), 20 years her senior. During the relationship she went through hell, experienced physical and psychological abuse from the singer.
In her documentary "Phoenix Rising" she makes the atrocities public: from mutual "branding" to rape in front of the cameras, to Manson's Nazi slogans, which he threw at the Jewish Hollywood star.
What made you decide to take part in this very personal documentary?
I've always been a privacy-conscious person. And anyone who knows me knows that this documentary would have been the last thing in my life that I would have wanted. And yet it was me who really wanted to tell this story!
You have kept silent about your terrible fate for many years. What ultimately made you decide to go public with it?
It was just about time to tell the truth. It was time for me to finally tell my side of the story. And I had to do that myself, I couldn't leave that to anyone else.
Women in similar situations often remain silent for fear that they will not be believed. Did you have this concern at first too?
People will believe what they want to believe. It's not my job to convince anyone. I don't lie. My job is to tell the truth. And that's what I did in this documentary. And that's all I could do.
What are your hopes for this documentary?
Being able to produce it at all changed my life. Not only was I able to achieve my own brand of justice, we can also give a voice to other survivors of domestic violence. Unfortunately, my story is not unusual. And I'm not just trying to denounce the person who did this to me. We also want to show what exactly domestic violence is and how you can get into it.
You say that as a child star you were taught to say yes to everything. How much has that played into your relationship with Marilyn Manson?
Whatever happened before I met Brian Warner is irrelevant. Ultimately, the blame for the abuse rests solely with Brian. Of course, we also show that I had certain family patterns. But to make it very clear: I love my parents very much. Was it their fault that Brian abused me? Under no circumstance!
The documentary makes it clear that Marilyn Manson has long been protected by the music industry, which is why I hope that this documentary is finally a wake-up call. The way the media has treated Marilyn Manson's story for years has been nothing short of shameful. Therefore, it was high time that we, as abuse survivors, finally told our story from our own perspective and without filters.

- Evan Rachel Wood Basically Admits She Rewrites Her Narrative
A Valentine gift for us all. Evan admits to what we have accused her of doing all along. But is she doing it for love or for hate? Notice the Westworld reference, which is the show that had a major part in her radicalization in 2016.
